I Believe

I believe:

   -That racists should be neutered

   -That while ignorance can be cured…idiocy cannot

   -That liberal is NOT a dirty word

   -That compassionate conservatives are mythological creatures

   -That People should be allowed to love whom they choose and

     how they choose…so long as it is consensual.

   -That Children and animals cannot knowingly give consent

   -That no one asks to be raped or abused

   -That a woman’s choice to reproduce is hers to make

   -That a good plot far out shadows great special effects

   -That great acting can overcome a multitude of script sins

   -That ‘80’s music is not as bad as we make it to be

   -That the Cowboys suck

   -The Yankees are an abomination

   -That the Eagles will someday finally win a Super Bowl

   -That a relationship without trust is doomed to failure

   -That not communicating in a relationship is also dooming it

   -That a touch at the right moment can communicate far more 

     than mere words.

    -That there is a power beyond us

-That a sunrise is proof of that power and of how beautiful life is

    -That faith is an attempt to understand that power

    -That organized religion is a bastardization of faith

    -That sex for pleasure is not immoral

    -That sex with the one who holds your heart and soul close to

      their own, is the best sex you can have

-That a woman’s orgasm is one of life’s most beautiful things

-That when one loves it should be total without reservation

-That life is meant to be lived a fully as possible

Who The? ( An Introduction)

  Welcome reader before you go further I should warn you...The Management (ie ME) is fully aware that the views expressed herein may well offend some. If they do, and you expect an apology, you may be disappointed. Freedom of expression and more importantly freedom of thought is something far too precious to be squandered in an effort to appease. I am after all an adult and will not shy away from topics that may be "adult" so deal with it sunshine. As in all things there is an element of risk. I may lose some friends I may gain some, such is the circle that we call life.

So just who is that person in the mirror?  An individual to be sure. His musical tastes lie primarily in the ‘80’s and new wave though it can run the gamut of classical to country.  He loves to read Science fiction and fantasy mostly, but he does indulge in non-fiction with a slight political bent. He subscribes to most of the major news feeds...AP, Reuters, The BBC, and CNN.  He believes information is knowledge, and knowledge of course, is Power.  He feels Battlestar Galactica(the revamp) was one of the best written shows on television and a sly allegory on the (then) state of affairs in the world today. He watches mostly procedural shows with a decided bent toward Law and Order SVU, and CI along with NCIS (and he thinks Pauley Perrette (“Abby”) is one of the hottest women on TV). His anime collection continues to grow with no sign of stopping despite the pleas of his wallet. He loves movies especially when they have a complex or unique plot though he isn’t adverse to the occasional popcorn movie to wrap himself in and escape the world for a few hours.  His humor is an acquired taste but to those who have been exposed to it find it insightful with a sarcastic edge when necessary.  Though many would call his politics leaning to the left, he ascribes to no definite political label.

     When not sojourning through the daily 9 to 5 like most, he can be found either indulging his addiction to trivia at a local bar,hoisting a sake at his restaurant of choice, or feeding his habit of online gaming (and in denial that he is a cityville/farmville addict )He’s never claimed to be a “hottie” but he doesn’t fall into the troll category either, at least in his opinion. And since he is the one most often waking up to his face, he takes the opinions of others in the spirit they are given.  He looks back fondly on his days in the military and swimming in college.  All in all to most just one of many inhabiting this universe.
